Prehistorik 2 was released in 1993 by Taito. The graphics quality
remains almost the same, but Sound Blaster is supported to produce
better sound effects.
The length of Prehistorik 2 is longer than Prehistorik. The world map
will be shown at the beginning of each level to let us know our
progress. Similar to Prehistorik, there are many different environment
in Prehistorik 2. The animation is now smoother and the background has
more moving elements.
There are far more hidden items in Prehistorik 2. You should try
hitting every where to discover hidden bonuses. On most circumstances,
you won’t be disappointed.
Prehistorik 2 is actually easier to play as our hero now can jump
higher. Spikes and traps are now easier to crossed over. There are
still a lot of holes in Prehistorik 2, some are treasure holes while
some are shortcuts to other places.
There are a lot of platform jumping in Prehistorik 2. So even though
the hero can now jump higher, we still need to have enough reflex to
pass through some difficult parts.
The enemies in Prehistorik 2 is easier to be defeated too. The
developer must have change the hitting algorithm to make the hero
easier to hit the enemies.
